A DAY TO REMEMBER: How the Bush Administration went to sleep BEFORE 9/11

Seven years ago today, in what can only be described as the worst day of an administration that has had more than its share of disasters, the infamous memo: "Bin Laden Determined To Strike America" made its way to the desk of President Bush and was roundly dismissed by him and his entire cabinet.

Yes, as difficult as it is to believe a memo, which outlined specific details on what and how Al Qaeda was planning on unleashing on America, was completely ignored by those who, had they heeded its warning, might well have foiled the dastardly plot.

And because of their tremendous blundering and arrogance, in about 36 days, the United States will be marking the 7th anniversary of the darkest day of its history. On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, 3000 of our people paid dearly for the Bush administration’s incompetence.

To those who still insist, blindly, that the right president was in the Oval office when this tragedy unfolded, remember this day, and pray that the next president, whoever he is, won’t be as foolish as this one has been. Pray that he has the brains and the vision to guide the U.S. forward instead of backward. Pray that he be more than just a self-professed man of God, but instead be God lead.
